Sussex Law students demonstrated their excellent knowledge of the law in the latest round of the National Criminal Advocacy Competition.
James Yates and Susana Cardoso travelled to Bristol on Saturday, 21 March to compete against University of Bristol Law School after their original opponents pulled out of the competition.
As Sussex are not able to enter two teams into the Competition, James and Susana took part in the match for experience only.
However their outstanding knowledge of the law, as well as rules and procedure, was noted as they led Sussex to victory, defeating Bristol.
Sussex’s next competitive match in the Criminal Advocacy Competition will take part in London, where they will be battling for a place in the finals.
