Reason for downtime:

A hardware fault has been identified on the main university Firewalls, which needs to be urgently fixed.

We have experienced some limited, intermittent disrupting to internet access and other University services such as Study Direct, Sussex Direct, Business Applications, Eduroam, etc. The proposed work is essential to return a stable platform back into operation and plan a long term solution with our suppliers.
