Systems / Services Affected: Emails to Hotmail, msn, live.com and outlook.com addresses
Date / time: identified 9 March, ongoing
Reason for downtime: Hotmail has chosen to block messages sent from Sussex addresses, as some emails have been judged to present a spam profile.
IT Services is investigating these cases and has been in contact with Hotmail to remove the block at the earliest possible opportunity.

UPDATE: 14 Mar 2018 - 2:10pm
Microsoft, who had previously blocked all Sussex emails sent to Hotmail addresses, have now expanded the block to include live.com, outlook.com and msn.com email accounts. Most Sussex emails sent to addresses with these providers will not be delivered.
IT Services is continuing to request that Microsoft remove this block.
If you have set up a redirect rule in OWA (webmail) to automatically redirect your emails from your Sussex inbox to a Microsoft inbox, please disable this to ensure you don't lose emails.
Microsoft have now removed the block on our email address and all are being successfully delivered to all Microsoft accounts (Hotmail, msn, live.com and outlook.com)
