Online information using Adobe Acrobat

Introduction

Most information is made available on the World Wide Web by specifying its structure using HTML - HyperText Markup Language. This is the situation when the proprietary product, Adobe Acrobat, with its Portable Document Format (PDF) files can prove useful. An example is the University's past examination papers.

Reading

The Acrobat reader is freely available. It can be used on its own or integrated into a World Wide Web browser. All IT Services systems, PCs, iMac and Unix, have the Acrobat Reader installed. If you want a version for your own computer it is available from Adobe.
