Messages sent in HTML format to my mailing list are not being shown in the expected format.

You may find that messages posted in HTML format are treated as attachments and being blocked by Mailman (it may show the sentence An HTML attachment was scrubbed... near the bottom of the message).

To prevent this and allow HTML (with links etc) to be shown in the main message body, follow the instructions in FAQ 1206 so as to make your list accept attachments (which will also allow them to accept HTML messages).  You must be the owner (administrator) of the mailing list to be able to do this.

If you are not the list owner and they are not available or willing to make this change, the best solution is to compose your email in Plain Text format.  This is usually best anyway, because any message formatted in a particular way may not be seen as intended by the recipient, due to differences in the configuration of their email.   Plain Text email will always be shown correctly.
