I am unable to access a web page and am getting an error message that Javascript needs to be enabled. What does this mean?

In order to use many web pages (including the University of Sussex's Online Registration system) it is necessary for "Javascript" to be enabled in your browser. Javascript is a simple scripting language embedded in web pages which allows interactivity with the page content (HTML), enabling dynamic content and motion.

Javascript are enabled by default in most browsers, but if you suspect it may have been disabled please check the toolsoptions or preferences menus and/or settings for the particular browser you are using and enable it.
