Are you starting your doctorate at Sussex this autumn? Join us for this official Doctoral School welcome event, and hear from the key support services around the University who will help you throughout your PhD journey.

You will be welcomed by Prof Jeremy Niven, Director of the Doctoral School, and hear short presentations from the Researcher Development Programme, the Library, the Careers & Employability Centre, International Student Support, the Student Life Centre, the Students' Union and the Research Hive Scholars.

Following this event, there will be a chance to explore key services at our info stalls as well as get a chance to chat to other researchers and campus teams over lunch.

Please note that this event will take place in-person on campus, an alternative virtual event will be held the following week.

A number of Covid safety measures will be in place across the University, including sanitiser stations, track and trace QR codes, and lanyards to indicate if you prefer greater social distancing. There is an expectation that face masks will be worn in teaching spaces and crowded spaces across campus. Please be considerate of your fellow researchers, who may feel less comfortable about returning to in-person activities.
