Sussex Research Hive

Located on the top floor of the Library, the Sussex Research Hive is a dedicated space for doctoral researchers and research staff. It provides private study areas, bookable meeting rooms, and space for collaborative work. During coronavirus, the Library is operating a Click and Study service - while the Research Hive is not accessible in the usual way, you can reserve a study space in advance. See the Library homepage for the latest information.

Three Hive Scholars are appointed each academic year to support the area, engaging with researchers to find out what they want from their community, and planning events in response.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the Scholars have excelled at bringing the doctoral community together online. Join their Slack channels to meet and work alongside other researchers, sign up for fortnightly Tea & Talks (and the accompanying care packages!), and keep an eye out for further Shut Up & Write! events in the Autumn.

Find out more about the Research Hive on the Library Hive webpage, and keep up to date with the Scholar's activities and the Sussex research community on the Hive blog and the @SussexResHive Twitter feed.

In this video, the Hive Scholars from 2016-17, Marta, Marianela, and Tom, explain more about the role of the Hive and the researcher community at Sussex:
