TARGET AUDIENCE:This workshop is intended for 2nd through to final year doctoral researchers in the Schools of Engineering & Design and Informatics.

WORKSHOP OUTLINE

Do you need advice or tips on how to write your thesis? This workshop is designed for both researchers who are about to start writing and those who have already begun, and will help you with:

• Assessing what you've done and what is left to do
• Advice on planning and how to stay on track
• Tips on developing the structure and content of your thesis

The workshop will also cover copyright issues in e-thesis submission, such as:

• Open Access and how it relates to your e-thesis
• Understanding of the key copyright issues in e-thesis submission
• How to seek copyright permissions for third party material
• What to do if permission is refused or it has not been possible to contact the rights holder
