Rose, Postgraduate Education Officer, has this to say about the awards and PhD supervision at Sussex:
It's really exciting that research students are getting the opportunity to say thank you to their supervisor in this way. Supervisors can have such an important impact on a student's experience here and often support researchers through some very difficult times. The introduction of this award is part of a wider piece of work that I'm doing on improving PhD supervision at Sussex; I think it's really important to celebrate when the supervisor-supervisee relationship has gone well.
To nominate your supervisor, please fill out this form before 1st June. Please do not hesitate to contact Rose, on pgeducation@sussexstudent.com, if you require more information about the awards.
Winners of the Student Led Supervisor Awards will be sent a congratulatory email and invitation to the Sussex Research and Impact Awards.
