Posted on behalf of: Estates at Sussex
Last updated: Thursday, 9 April 2026
Join us on Tuesday 14 April in Library Square for Sustainable Travel Day, from 11am to 3pm.
We'll be hosting a guided bike ride (see details below), free bike maintenance with the Sussex Bike Shack, and information on local travel discounts.
Local transport providers including Brighton & Hove Buses, regional train providers, and the Brighton Bike Hub will be joining us on the day with more advice and resources to boost your sustainable travel options, and learn about how you can make your travel to work and study greener.
Whether you want to get more confident with cycling, need travel advice, bike repairs, or just want to chat about greener ways to get around, swing by and say hi to the team!
Guided bike ride - Tuesday 14 April
Now that spring is here, do you want to feel more confident cycling to campus?
We are hosting a guided ride from central Brighton to the University on Tuesday, to help support confidence when cycling and demonstrate the dedicated bike route from Brighton to campus.
We will cycle from The Level to campus in the morning, with the option to ride back to town together in the afternoon. The route is on dedicated cycling lanes, but you need to already be comfortable on a bike to take part. Don’t forget to bring your own bike and helmet!
You will also get a free healthy breakfast at Eat Central from Sussex Uni Food at the end of the ride.
For more information about signing up, check the links below or contact Sustainable Travel Advisor Monika Farkas.
