Broadcast: News items

Following the announcement that Sussex is now the Official Global Higher Education Partner of BHAFC, all University staff are eligible for special promotions being run by the club, starting with free tickets to Brighton v West Ham at the Amex on Saturday 24 October (kick off 5:15pm).

All University staff are eligible for up to four free tickets – perfect for a family evening out!

If you’ve not been to the Amex before, or to a Women’s Super League (WSL) match, this game will be a great place to start. Not only are WSL matches very family friendly, it’s also a special, Halloween themed edition!

What’s on this matchday?

• Live band & DJ: enjoy pre-match live music and get in the spirit before kick-off!
• Spooky activities: themed food & drinks, photo ops, airbrush tattoos, fancy dress encouraged!
• Enjoy a drink from your seat! grab a beer, wine, or cocktail to sip while you watch the match.

How to claim your free tickets

To claim your free tickets, you need first to sign up to a free MyAlbion Student Membership. Despite the name, the membership is available to Sussex staff and it entitles you to purchase tickets to future women's and men's fixtures.

Follow these instructions to sign up:

1) Go to the MyAlbion Student portal and click on ‘buy membership’. The cost will be £0.0.

2) On the next page, click ‘create an account’.

3) Fill in your details. Use your @sussex.ac.uk email address (e.g. a.person@sussex.ac.uk).

4) Click ‘register’. You’ll now be able to see the full list of upcoming fixtures in the ‘Tickets’ section of the website.

5) Click the green ‘BUY’ icon next to the Albion v West Ham Women game.

6) Select the section of the stadium you’d like to sit in – make sure you check them all, some areas will have more seating left than others.

7) Select up to four seats and click ‘Buy’. At this point they will appear as full price adult tickets.

8) On the next page, enter the discount code UoS26BHA at the bottom of the page. All your tickets will now be £0.0.

9) Proceed to checkout and confirm your order.

That’s it!

Please only order as many tickets as you need. Over the course of the season there will be more promotions and a ‘special offers’ page for staff will be made available via the BHAFC partnership page on the University website.

We hope you enjoy this special game to kick off the Sussex and BHAFC partnership.

Can’t get enough live football?

Once you’ve signed up to your My Albion Student membership, you’ll also be able to purchase tickets to men’s matches.
