What I wish they knew about me: Disabled Students Recorded Conversations & Mixed Media Collage Making Workshop

Join us for a creative and welcoming workshop designed for disabled and neurodiverse students and allies. What I wish they knew about me is a space to explore and express your identity in ways that feel right to you.

This session will feature:
Mixed Media Collage Making: Create a collage using a wide range of materials, textures, and mediums to reflect your experiences, identity, and the things you wish others understood.
Recorded Conversations Workshop: record conversations, reflections, or personal stories around the theme: “What I wish people knew or understood.” Share as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
Participants are free to engage in both workshops or choose just one. You can participate as much or as little as you like. This is your space to create in your own way.
Works will be featured in an end-of-year Disabled Students’ Exhibition.
Refreshments and soft drinks will be provided.
Who can attend?
This event is open to disabled and neurodiverse students and allies.
We look forward to creating, sharing, and amplifying disabled student voices together.
Accessibility Information

· The venue is wheelchair accessible.
· A quiet space is available.
· There is no pressure to participate in all activities.
· All workshops are drop-in. You’re welcome to arrive at any time, stay for as long as you like, and leave whenever you need.
