Call for Adam Weiler PGR Impact Award nominees
By: Alexander Aghajanian
Last updated: Monday, 2 February 2026
Nominations for the 2026 Adam Weiler PGR Impact Award are now open. The award recognises postgraduate researchers (PGRs) with the potential to achieve outstanding impact with their work.
Following the continued success of the award in 2025, we are pleased to offer a main prize of £1,000 towards research in four discipline-based categories, which now match the Faculty structure:
-
University of Sussex Business School
-
Media, Arts and Humanities
-
Social Sciences
-
Sciences, Engineering and Medicine
PGRs must be nominated by their supervisor, and the prize money must be put towards the recipient's research.
Winners will receive their awards at the University's Sussex Awards ceremony in April, an excellent platform to raise the profile of their research, and share their work and its impact at a panel session in June.
These awards are possible thanks to a generous donation to the University in memory of Adam Weiler, a former student of International Relations at Sussex.
