Research Rabbit: Mapping the Literature
Thursday 30 April 11:00 until 12:30
University of Sussex Campus : Library Seminar Room
Part of the series: Academic Skills
The session will introduce the citation mapping tool ResearchRabbit and demonstrate how it can help you visualise connections between researchers, papers, and topics.
We’ll consider how citation networks are impacted by disciplinary biases, historical exclusions, and patterns of academic visibility and influence, touching on the importance of open access publishing.
Designed for students who want to go beyond traditional keyword searching and use citation maps to see how academic debates have developed over time.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Understand how AI-powered search tools can complement traditional search methods.
- Create and refine a literature map to visualise scholarly connections.
- Analyse how citation networks reflect disciplinary biases and patterns of academic visibility.
