An example of a QR code reporting poster
As part of our new facilities management contract, we are introducing a new way you can report issues and requests to the Estates team.
You may have spotted blue QR code posters in buildings on campus, which include details on how to report maintenance requests and who to call in the event of an emergency.
This includes:
- Maintenance and repairs
- Cleaning
- Office moves
- Mail delivery
- Access cards
- Groundskeeping and pest control
- Booking an event
How to submit a QR code request
To submit a request, scan the QR code on the poster and fill out the form provided. Each QR code is tailored specifically to the building it’s in, so your report can be quickly assigned to the appropriate team.
You can also upload photos of the issue to help us identify and fix it, or provide feedback on anything related to Estates by scanning the same code.
When raising a request via a QR code, you will additionally receive automated updates via e-mail on how the task is progressing, without needing to contact anyone.
If you don’t have your phone to hand, you can also submit a request by email at any time to EstatesHelpdesk@sussex.ac.uk.
All requests raised by QR code will be directed to the on-campus Estates Helpdesk during working hours, and to the off-campus 24/7 support helpdesk out of hours.
