The Wellbeing Team wishes all students the very best of luck for the assessment period. Remember that taking a break is also important, and to reach out for support if you need it!
Mental Health Awareness Week:
Mental health awareness week is from Monday 12th May until Saturday 18th May and celebrates how being part of a community can protect our mental health. Please click here for a full programme of events for students to get involved with!
Cooking for Wellbeing:
The Student Engagement and Enhancement team are hosting a free cooking class for students centred around food for wellbeing for Mental Health Awareness week. The theme this year is community, and what better way to honour that than by building community through cooking and sharing food with your peers.
If you can, take a break from your studies and assessments to join us at the community kitchen in Brighton:
15 May 2025; 17:00 - 20:00
Community Kitchen Community Base
113 Queens Road
BN1 3XG
These cooking classes usually cost around £70 per person, but the Belong at Sussex team have covered this cost so that you can enjoy it for free. We only ask that you honour your spot if are offered one and cancel at least 24 hours beforehand to allocate your spot to someone else from the waiting list.
Pornography Use:
The student wellbeing team has put together some information about the impact of excessive porn use both on yourself and on others for the Student Wellbeing canvas site.
You can enrol onto the site here and find the information there.
