Business School undergraduate finalists: have your say in the National Student Survey
By: Serena Mitchell
Last updated: Friday, 21 January 2022

The National Student Survey (NSS) 2022 is open now to final-year undergraduates. Let us know what you think about your time at Sussex and the Business School – what has gone well and what could be improved.
Managed by the Office for Students (OfS), the independent regulator of higher education in England, and run by polling company Ipsos MORI, the NSS is used to assess the quality of your degree as a whole. If you decide to take part, you should think back over all years of your course when responding.
How to complete the survey
Eligible students can fill in the NSS online at www.thestudentsurvey.com at any time until 30 April 2022. Ipsos MORI will contact students by email with an invitation to complete the survey. You can view more information on our NSS web page.
Why take part?
Your opinions are important. NSS results are taken very seriously by your tutors, the University and the OfS. Results are made publicly available by the OfS to help prospective students; their families and advisors make informed choices about where and what to study. By taking part you can also raise money for charity and take part in both University-wide and Business School prize draws.
Your feedback matters
Susan Smith, Associate Dean for Education and Students at the Business School said:
“It’s been another challenging year for our finalists to complete their studies as we returned from online to on-campus learning, but I do hope you will give feedback about your time at Sussex and your course at the Business School. We use what you tell us to understand what is going well and where to make improvements that are important to you and future students.
“For example, in response to last year’s survey feedback we ran several Student Connector projects working with students to:
- strengthen our sense of Business School community, creating a new module, We Are Us for first year students
- improve module selection and assessment
- increase awareness of our student academic support services
- build our Race Equality Action Plan and start to decolonise the curriculum
- enhance our careers advice and service offerings
and much more. We do read all your responses, which are anonymous.”
