An external organisation is running a series of tech courses for children and teenagers on the University of Sussex campus over the school summer holidays.
From Monday 11-Friday 15 and Monday 18-Friday 22 August, Fire Tech Camp will be offering week-long courses on Video Game Design, Physical Computing with Arduino, Coding Java with Greenfootand Coding with Python.
A one-day workshop on World Building with Minecraft is also available on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 August.
The courses will take place in the Fulton building, rooms 202 and 203.
Fire Tech Camp launched in London in 2012. Its Marketing Manager, Madeleine Patston, says: “Our courses are creative and collaborative, guiding students through concepts and providing them with tools and equipment not always available in mainstream education.
“We have come to Brighton following requests from parents and attracted by the leading tech research, education and business in the area.”
