Bringing together student wellbeing and NHS primary care
Supporting human flourishing is a key part of our Sussex 2035 strategy, and the new Health and Wellbeing Centre reflects our long-term commitment to student wellbeing.
The Centre brings together University wellbeing services and the campus NHS GP practice within a single, integrated facility, enabling closer collaboration and a more joined-up approach to care.
A shared ground floor reception creates a welcoming and accessible environment, with a comfortable waiting area and wellbeing stall highlighting the range of support available to students.
Purpose-built spaces across the first and second floors support both University and NHS services, including consultation, clinical and therapeutic rooms. Designed to improve accessibility, coordination and quality of care, the Centre helps ensure you can access timely support throughout your studies.
Flourishing throughout your studies
There is a strong link between effective wellbeing support and your success: students who feel supported are more likely to continue and succeed in their studies.
The Health and Wellbeing Centre represents a major investment in this support, providing a dedicated and accessible space where you can get the help they need, when you need it.
Celebrating West Slope
The Health and Wellbeing Centre was formally opened by The Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Councillor Theresa Fowler, marking the launch of the first West Slope building, ahead of services starting on Monday 15 June.
