Free online storage with OneDrive

You automatically get a Terabyte (1TB) of cloud storage space with Microsoft OneDrive for the University of Sussex

You can use your free cloud storage space:

  • directly from Office apps - sign in to Word, Excel or other Office apps on Windows, or the iPhone and Android equivalents to open or save files directly in your OneDrive for Sussex file space
  • online - login with your Sussex username (followed by @sussex.ac.uk) and password to get straight to your files and edit them online

Important information about OneDrive

OneDrive cloud storage space is provided directly to students by Microsoft. The University has no access to files saved in OneDrive so you will need to contact Microsoft yourself if you need help recovering files or using the service.

OneDrive storage space linked to your Sussex address is only available while you are at the University. After you leave, you will no longer have access to files saved in OneDrive on your University account.

For safety, you should keep a spare copy of files you are working on in a different location, such as on your University file space or on a USB.
