Sussex Mobile

Sussex Mobile is a web-based service for smartphones, providing useful information and tools for members of the University. The service gives easy, mobile access to course timetables, details of library loans and reservations, campus locations and a pocket guide of useful information about the University.

Available as a web-based app for smartphones or as an iphone app from Apple's App Store, the service is free to staff and students.

Services available in Sussex Mobile

Information available to all users

When you first open Sussex Mobile, you have to register with an email address and password. If you use your University email, you can opt to receive alerts of important news.

News and events

Subscribe to Sussex news feeds for the latest updates on campus news and events.

Pocket Guide

Handy guide to the University including information on campus services.

Alerts

Opt to receive important news about the University, such as details of campus closures or urgent announcements.

Locations

Find buildings, lecture theatres and services on campus with the location finder.

Friend Locator

If your friends have allowed their location to be known, you can check to see if they're on campus.

Information for staff and students only

This information is only available to staff and students at Sussex - you will be asked to enter your ITS username and password to look at these details.

Course details

Check details of the courses for which you have registered.

Timetables

Teaching and study timetables drawn from Sussex Direct.

Library details

Information on your current loans and reservations.

Staff directory

Look up members of staff along with contact details, office location and other useful information.
