We've tracked down and resolved the issue behind intermittently slow performance on University web sites and related services towards the end of term.

Response times on many Sussex web pages and some internal systems dropped at regular points during the day due to a service which was running on the same hardware but consuming excessive resources. The service was identified and relocated yesterday and symptoms immediately cleared.

We're sorry for all the inconvenience this has been causing for staff, students and website visitors in the last few weeks but pages and web-based services are now running smoothly.
