We're investigating problems connecting to the internet on the campus wi-fi this morning. Users in some parts of the campus are reporting they are able to connect to eduroam successfully but unable to load web pages.
We're sorry for all the disruption this is causing, especially on top of the problems with Sussex websites, and we're working to have services back up and running as soon as possible.
UPDATE: 24 Oct 2016 - 1:58pm
We're continuing to work to fix problems with campus internet connections today. Users of the campus wi-fi are currently unable to use the internet. Some other connections such as the wired network in residences are also affected.
This afternoon we will be undertaking some emergency diagnostic work to find the source of this problem and all campus computers may experience some interruption in internet access over the course of the day.
We're sorry for the frustration this is causing but we are doing everything we can to keep distruption to a minimum and restore normal service as soon as possible.
This afternoon's emergency work has been successful and we're in the process of restoring internet access across the campus. Most eduroam users should now be able to connect and use the internet as normal.
We're sorry for all the frustration this fault with internet connections has been causing today, especially on the back of all the problems with website availability over the weekend, and we're monitoring networks to make sure they are running smoothly.
