Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite

The new version of the Mac operating system, 10.10 (Yosemite) was released in October and is free to download for individual Mac users. We're currently testing Yosemite for use on University equipment but, as with any new operating system, we aren't planning to upgrade until it has been checked with the range of software used at Sussex.

If you're a member of staff and have a University-owned Macbook, we would be grateful if you could postpone upgrading to the new operating system while we finish these checks. There are still some issues which need to be resolved but we're working to fix them as soon as we can and will publish a further update in the next few weeks.
