UPDATE: 25 Sep 2014 - 4:15pm
We're still working to fix the slow response times on Study Direct and apologise for the inconvenience this is causing to staff and students this afternoon. Pages are taking a very long time to load and many users are not able to login at present.
We're hoping to have the service back to normal later today and will issue a further update as soon as we can.
We've been working further to identify and address the causes of slow response times on Study Direct this week. Staff and students experienced long delays attempting to login and use the service on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons.
The growing popularity of Study Direct has led to an increase in activity and the problems we've seen this week are linked to higher levels of demand this term. In the last twenty-four hours, we've made a number of changes to improve the efficiency of key aspects of the service and are expecting to make further enhancements in the next few days.
We're sorry for the frustration and inconvenience caused by the delays in the service this week and we will continue to work to ensure its performance is back to normal as soon as possible.
