Print from your laptop

Students can now print straight from laptops to selected printers in Shawcross and the Library.
You have to be connected to the campus wi-fi (or ResNet) to use the service - you can then print PDFs and most Office files without having to login to a PC. So if you have your laptop on the campus, you don't need to wait for a PC to become available just in order to print a piece of work.
The service is initially available on two printers in Shawcross and one in the Library but we're hoping to extend it to more printers in the near future.
The new facility was made possible by the introduction of a new printing system at the start of the Autumn term. In the last few months, we've been adding the extra infrastructure that was required for printing from laptops.
