Biochemistry doctoral researcher wins top student prize at international conference

Congratulations to School of Life Sciences doctoral researcher Wided Souissi, who recently won the top student prize for her presentation at an international conference.

Wided presented her research into the activity of normally insecticidal bacterial toxins on human cancer cells at the Society for Invertebrate Pathology in Tours, France in July.

Wided’s conference attendance was funded by the Doctoral Overseas Conference (DOC) Grant scheme, which supports Sussex doctoral researchers who are presenting at conferences overseas. The Doctoral School administers the scheme, made possible by the generous donations made by alumni and friends of the University to the Sussex Fund.
