Communication protocol designs for Internet-of-Things
Friday 6 March 13:00 until 14:00
Richmond, AS03
Speaker: Zhengguo Sheng (Sensor Technology Research Centre)
Part of the series: School of Engineering and Informatics - Work In Progress Seminars
The ubiquitous interconnection of embedded devices with Internet infrastructure has made the remote monitoring and control of sensors and devices possible, and has brought a new research theme to the forefront: the Internet-of-Things (IoT). Future IoT networks are rapidly developing to include a large diversity of communication entities, including novel sensor devices, vehicles, and other intelligent electronic appliances. In this seminar, I would like to share with you some of my current research works in the design of communication protocols, and how these techniques can be applied in wireless sensor networks, vehicular communication, mobile social networks and big data.
