Publication & Copyright Clearance

We have a new Special Collections Website

Our new website was launched in 2010, and allows searching across all our collections and view records for all our items. You can access the site at the following address: http://specialcollections.lib.sussex.ac.uk/.

These pages are available for reference and are no longer being updated. They may contain out of date information.

If you are planning to reproduce material from the Special Collections please make sure that you have the correct permissions. You will need permission from both the owner and the copyright holder (if applicable). Please note that ownership and copyright are not mutually exclusive.

Where copyright is applicable, Special Collections will not allow copies to be made for publication without the copyright holder’s written permission.

It is your responsibility to obtain permission from the copyright holder. The WATCH website may help you track down copyright holders.

All reproductions must be acknowledged in the published work.
