Description of work:
We will be upgrading the software on part of our data storage system.

Today, 20:30 - 21:30

Is this work likely to cause disruption?
Disruption is expected. 

What will you notice while this work is carried out?
Desktop logins, N Drives (Home Shares), Windows Remote and Admin Remote will be unavailable.
You won’t be able to access any files in your N Drive in any way, and the Windows Remote service will be offline during this work.
Most importantly: Please ensure you have logged out during this time
Additionally, please don’t try to save files to your N Drive while the work is being completed.  If you try, you may lose data. 

Why are we doing this work?
This is part of our essential programme of works to resolve the issues with slow desktop performance last week.  Resolving this issue is a matter of the highest priority for IT Services.  Tonight’s work involves a software update recommended by our supplier, Dell.
