The IT Services self-admin desktop

The self-admin staff desktop

IT Services provide a standard desktop to University staff. The ability to add or amend software and settings is usually restricted to IT Services staff but there are some situations where members of staff need greater control over their computer.

In these situations, individual members of staff can apply for a self admin desktop. This gives them administrative rights over their own machines and is available provided that applicants formally confirm they understand and accept the responsibilities which come with this level of access.
