In Outlook my Favourites list of folders has disappeared and I can't bring it back.

If your list of favourites has disappeared, it may have been as a result of earlier changes you had made to your View options.

The method for showing your list of favourite folders is slightly different between Outlook 2013 and 2010:

Outlook 2013

  1. Under the View menu tab, in the Layout tool group, click on Folder Pane.
  2. In the drop-down menu, ensure that Favorites is ticked.
  3. Your Favorites list should appear on the left hand side within the Folder Pane.

Outlook 2010

  1. Under the View menu tab, in the Layout tool group, click Navigation Pane.
  2. In the drop-down menu, ensure that Favorites is ticked.
  3. Your Favorites list should appear on the left hand side within the Navigation Pane.
