Part of the series: Sussex Centre for Quantum Technologies seminar series
Title: Research development in NICT toward Quantum internet
Abstract:
Research and development toward the realization of quantum internet, in which quantum devices such as quantum computers and quantum sensors are interconnected via entanglement, are actively underway worldwide. This talk will introduce the development of key technologies for quantum networking, including entangled photon-pair sources operating at repetition rates on the order of GHz and quantum frequency converters that enable photon frequency conversion while preserving quantum states. Recent quantum optics experiments using these technologies will also be presented.
