Parking permit applications are open for 2026/27

All parking permits for University staff (including IDS, BSMS and SEF) will automatically renew from Thursday 1 October. If you are a staff member and you wish to keep your current parking permit, no action is required.

Standard parking permit applications for students and new joiners are now open via the online self-service portal, for the new academic year 2026/27.

If you are a staff member and you do not wish to renew your permit for 2026/27, please log in to your parking permit account from Thursday 27 August and select “Opt Out”, then “Submit”, and your permit will not be renewed. If you would like to change your parking permit type, please contact the Transport Office.

Bus travel on campus is only £1

You can travel between all bus stops at the University for just £1, to get around campus quicker and easier if travelling a bit of a distance.

This covers all stops on the 25 route starting from the Sport Centre, around all of the University including the residences, ending just opposite campus at the Falmer train station. 

Car parks, roads, and closures

There is a Brighton & Hove Albion Women's football match on Sunday 4 October (Albion v Charlton Athletic), kickoff at 2pm. There may be some minor delays to traffic on the nearby A27 before and after this match.
