Throughout the year, Sussex staff and students put on some amazing events and activities that really bring the wow.

We want to know whether you have got something that works, that makes people sit up and take notice, and that entertains, that could help showcase more of what Sussex is about and what students can expect to experience at Sussex. What are the conversations that you have had that can inspire the next generation of Sussex student, and help them picture themselves here?

We are already working with the student clubs and societies to create a ‘mini’ Freshers’ Fayre experience – but what else could we do? We need your ideas so please add your thoughts to this Viva Engage chat and help us Showcase the best of Sussex!

Activities do not need to be large, expensive or directly recruitment-focused. Some of the most effective ideas will simply showcase the people, creativity, achievements and character that make Sussex special.

We're looking for activities that:

• Create memorable experiences for visitors.
• Showcase life at Sussex beyond the classroom.
• Encourage participation, interaction and conversation.
• Reflect Sussex's values, achievements and community spirit.
• Are accessible to a broad Open Day audience.
• Can be delivered by the proposing team on the day.

Why get involved?

Prospective students visit multiple universities and often receive similar information at each one. What they remember are the experiences, conversations and moments that help them imagine themselves belonging there.

By leading an activity, you'll help bring the Sussex story to life and demonstrate that attracting future students is a responsibility shared across our University community.
