Changes to bus fares on campus

Brighton & Hove Buses are updating their fares from Tuesday 14 July. Short trips within campus (between the Sport Centre and Falmer Station) now cost £1.

Please drive extra carefully this summer

We have now begun to welcome our summer school visitors to Sussex, who will be staying in campus residences until September.

Please take extra caution when driving on campus as large numbers of school visitors will be out-and-about during the day, especially on Refectory Road and North-South Road.

Drive especially slowly on campus roads, and be cautious of pedestrians crossing or walking nearby.

A27 sliproad closure by Falmer

To improve safety under the footbridge on the westbound A27 exit slip road towards Falmer, National Highways are undertaking work on the sliproad until Sunday 19 July.

The following will be closed during these works; please be aware that diversions will be in place near Falmer and the University:

• The westbound A27 exit slip road towards Falmer
• Lane 1 of the A27 westbound just after the Ashcombe Roundabout at Lewes to just after the westbound exit slip to Falmer
• The bus stop on the A27 just after the westbound A27 exit slip road towards Falmer

Car parks, roads, and closures

Disabled parking bays between the Student Centre and Swanborough are closed to undertake essential electrical maintenance works in the area.

P7 Jubilee multi-storey car park will be generally busy during the summer as we host our summer conferences. Alternative parking is typically available at P1 Science car park during the summer.
