Want to make campus life easier, eat good food, and keep your budget under control? The Sussex Food Wallet is a prepaid way to grab meals across campus - with bonus credit, exclusive events, and zero hassle. Just top up, tap your QR code, and eat.
What is the Sussex Food Wallet?
The Sussex Food Wallet is a prepaid meal package you load via the Time2Eat app. Every package comes with bonus credit (up to 25% extra), so you get more food for your money.
The Semester Boost package is designed to fuel you through the term, roughly covering one full meal a day plus drinks, with loads of flexibility. You’ll find fresh, nutritious options including veggie, vegan and gluten free dishes - plus international flavours and the occasional sweet treat.
As a member, you also get access to fun extras like cooking classes, quiz nights and film evenings, so you can stay connected while eating well.
How it works
- Download the Time2Eat app and purchase your Sussex Food Wallet package
- Pick your food from any of the seven participating outlets
- Show your Sussex Food Wallet QR code at the till
- Enjoy your meal – simple!

Please note that the Sussex Food Wallet can only be used at Sussex Uni Food outlets and can’t be used at the IDS café, Falmer Bar, the Atrium Market, the Pizza Rebellion vending machines, or any other vending machines.
How much does it cost?
Packages are based on an average daily spend of £8 - enough for a hot main and a speciality coffee. Your credit lasts until 31 July each academic year, so nothing goes to waste – just make sure you use it before the summer vacation!
If you’re only on campus during term time, the Duo Semester Pass is ideal. If you stay all year round, go for the Gourmet Year Pass.

Sustainability and nutrition
All meals are carbon labelled so you can make climate friendly choices. Menus are balanced, with plenty of nutritious options alongside the occasional treat. There’s a wide mix of cuisines, plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free choices.
Food delivery on campus
Too busy to cook or working hard in the Library? Order through the Time2Eat app and get food delivered straight to your accommodation, or any other building on campus. You can also use the self-service kiosks in The Bridge and the Student Centre to order food for delivery.
