A huge thank you to everyone from Professional Services who joined us for the Celebration Day on Monday. 

We hope that you felt the day was an appropriate celebration of your collective work and achievements, and what the Vice-Chancellor in the morning said is, “the most enormous array of skills and experience, encompassing almost every area of work and professional and technical practice.” 

We know that not everyone was able to come, and not everything was perfect, but the sun shone, the wellbeing dogs were cute and furry, the boundary walks and PiYo were lovely and sweaty, and from what we hear, most people enjoyed the opportunity to take a breather from the day to day and connect with colleagues.

Share your thoughts 

We set up some Padlets to allow you to share your thoughts with us on a few topics - and we’ll keep these open for a while after the event:

• What are your favourite books and poetry?
• What are your favourite recipes?
• What about your favourite local walks?  
• What ways can you think of to make PS a better place to work?
• Getting involved with volunteering and charities

Photos and slides  

We’re pleased to be able to share a gallery of photos from the day and also Robin’s slides for anyone who wasn’t able to join that section live.  

Please share your photos from the day on Yammer using #pscd. Yammer is an internal social network available for all Sussex staff, and you can share your photos in the all-PS Community Group. Sign in to Yammer using your usual Sussex login.   

Lost property 

We do have a couple of bits of lost property from the day, so if you are missing anything please email: internalcomms@sussex.ac.uk and they will try and reunite you with your property.

And finally, a massive thank you to the whole design and delivery teams for the event – including all those who ran the show and tell stalls, which were fantastic. It was a huge achievement, a day designed for our colleagues by our colleagues, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
