You’ll have a wonderful time, don’t just take it fromus, check out our staff reviews below.
Our staff competition winners had an amazing time at these shows.
SUROOR, Nabihah Iqbal with support from Qazi & Qazi - 15 May at the ACCA:
“What I love about Brighton Festival is the chance to embrace new sounds and visuals in intimate settings. I hadn’t come across the artists before last night, but it was great to hear the hauntingly beautiful, folk harmonies of sister duo Qazi & Qazi which contrasted the more experimental and cinematic sounds of the four-piece, Suroor.” Lauren Ellis, Media Relations Manager.
Glory to Sound with Anita Rani & Nabihah Iqbal - 9 May at the ACCA:
“I had a wonderful time at the show, Anita is so entertaining and it was interesting to hear about her life through music.” Lucy Bell, Research Development Manager.
This year’s Festival programme includes four events co-delivered with the University at multiple venues across the city and a further nine wider Festival events hosted on campus at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts (ACCA).
The University’s four collaborative events shape The Festival of Ideas; a dynamic and engaging programme of talks, events and activities, from the School of Media, Arts and Humanities. Don’t miss the last is the series, Music for Girls Saturday 27 May.
Our role as the Festival’s Higher Education Partner reinforces our commitment to regional arts and culture and builds on our partnership with Towner Eastbourne, including as the Education Partner for the #TurnerPrize2023.
