Calling all campus residents! Do you know the 5 D’s of dodgeball? Do you want to take part in a fun, friendly (and free!) dodgeball competition?
Res Life and Sussex Sport are coming together to host Sussex’s first inter-residence dodgeball competition on Wednesday 29 April, from 1pm-5pm in the Sports Centre.
What to expect
There will be free pizza, great music and fancy-dress galore, with teams from different residences competing to crown the accommodation dodgeball champions of 2026!
Sussex Uni Food will be handing our free pizza for participants after the event (from 5pm) and there will be free Lucozade available throughout.
Don’t worry if you’ve not played before – the game is easy to pick up, and a lot of fun. We’ll have lots of prizes too in the form of vouchers for campus food outlets.
The prize categories are:
- Funniest team name (8 x £10 food voucher)
- Best team fancy-dress (8 x £15 food voucher)
- Overall winning team (8 x £20 food voucher)
How to sign up
- Get together with your friends in a team of 6 – 8 people. The games are 6 v 6 but it’s good to have a few substitutes.
- Choose a team name – and a team captain. Remember, there’s a prize for the funniest name!
- Go to the Sussex Online Shop to register your team name.
That’s it! And don’t forget – if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball…
