International placement scheme
ESRC funded students have the opportunity of spending three to six months as a research fellow at the Library of Congress, Washington DC, USA.
IPS LoC fellows receive £600 towards their travel, their visa costs paid, plus a monthly allowance of £1200 (in addition to their normal stipend paid as part of any existing ESRC award).
The scheme is run by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), who publish details of eligibility criteria and how to apply.
