South Downs National Park Research Opportunities

Are you thinking about a placement or internship with an external organisation?

The South Downs National Park Authority are keen to collaborate with students carrying out research in areas that are captured within their research priorities for 2016-17.

The priorities are:

  • Catchment management 'success' monitoring
  • Effects of species (e.g. deer, squirrels etc.) on the carbon storage potential of woodland
  • Estimation of the economic value of the South Downs Way
  • Evaluating best practice methodology for estimating carbon storage
  • Examination of the impact of the food and drink industry on the local economy and sustainable tourism
  • Assessing Grayling Butterfly distribution on the South Downs

You can find out more about research opportunities on the South Downs National Park Authority website.

If you are interested in working with South Downs National Park, please contact Julie Carr, Doctoral School Officer (Funding and Recruitment) in the first instance.
