Collection Description

William Walter Bartlett was an active socialist in the 1880s and 1890s. Among his interests were chartism, the Eight-hour Day, Thomas Paine, The English Land Restoration League and local government politics. His papers include 13 letters from Fabian Society founder Sidney Webb.
