As the end of term approaches, the Students’ Union is urging you to complete their online survey about your landlord or letting agent and your experience of living in rented accommodation
The annual Rate Your Landlord survey asks questions about both landlords and letting agencies and your experiences before, during and after your tenancy. You can use the survey to tell the Students’ Union about your current and/or previous residences.
The information gathered is used to implement changes that will help to improve standards for students. It also aims to enable students looking for private property in the future to make better informed choices.
The survey should take only 10 minutes to fill out and you will be given the chance to enter into a draw to win a prize of £200.
To complete the survey, log into Sussex Direct and click on the link in the 'New in Sussex Direct' section.
Sophie van der Ham, Students’ Union Welfare Officer, said: “The Rate Your Landlord survey plays a crucial role in improving housing for students in Brighton & Hove.
“Based on the information that students provide, we create recommendations for landlords and letting agents and recognise outstanding people in the private rented sector with our Rate Your Landlord awards.
“It's really important that we get a high number of responses, so that our data is fair and representative.”
