Heinz Federmann

Heinz Ehrenberg was born on 14 August 1895 in Berlin. At the outbreak of the war, he studied law in Berlin. He joined the army and was initially stationed on the Western Front. On 1 September 1916 he died at the age of 21 near the river Strypa in the Ukraine, where he was buried temporarily. Unusually, almost a year later his body was recovered and transported to the Jewish Cemetery in Berlin Weissensee.
