Coming soon: Digital Innovation Week 2016 (28 November – 2 December)

Digital Innovation Week (#DIWSUSSEX) provides an exciting range of free events for both staff and students, focussing on the development of digital skills and the use of digital technologies to support teaching, learning and research.

Digital Innovation Week gifThe Library, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and the Careers and Employability Centre (CEC) have come together this year to organise a packed programme of workshops, online courses and seminars.

The events include examples of the innovative use of technology at Sussex, with input from our students and academics.

Some highlights of the #DIWSUSSEX programme include:

  • a Wikimedia Hackathon
  • a workshop on spherical photography
  • a MakerSpace where you can learn how to use pencil and paper to light up LEDS
  • seminars featuring some of the leading thinkers in digital learning and open data

Alongside these activities we’ll also be launching the SkillsHub Digital Ideas competition, offering up to three students the chance to win an iPad Mini and to turn their digital ideas into reality.

Digital Innovation Week runs from Monday 28 November until Friday 2 December.
