Recruitment for new VC post ‘progressing well’
The recruitment process for Sussex’s new Vice-Chancellor is continuing apace.
Executive search firm, Perrett Laver, has been conducting an extensive search process to identify suitable candidates for the senior post. This was supported by a targeted advertising campaign which ran in the UK and overseas. The applications for the post closed on 14 January 2016.
Chair of the selection panel - and Chair of the University’s governing Council - Christian Brodie, said:
“The recruitment process is progressing well and Perrett Laver’s work has identified a range of potential candidates for the Vice-Chancellor’s role. I’m very pleased that such a wide variety of high-calibre applicants have either shown an interest in the role or been identified as potential candidates.
“The selection panel will be meeting with Perrett Laver soon to create a long list of suitable candidates. Over the next month, we will have further discussions to allow us to arrive at a short list of people.
“We anticipate the recruitment process will be finalised in Spring and an announcement about the new Vice-Chancellor will be made at the earliest opportunity.”
