Boundary run results

Staff took part in an annual run around the campus boundary on Wednesday (29 May).

Thirty-eight members of staff competed in the two-and-a-half-mile race.

Student Recruitment Services staff member Kevin Betts completed the circuit in the quickest time – 15 minutes and 39 seconds. Panu Pelkonen (Economics) and Gavin Harrison (Partnership Office) were the second- and third-fastest men.

Gail Davey of Brighton and Sussex Medical School was the fastest woman around the course, finishing in 17 minutes and 46 seconds, followed by Lara Barazzuol (Genome Centre) and Eleanor Bennett (Admissions).

The run this year took place during the final week of the month-long ‘Commit To Get Fit’ challenge.

The challenge, which began with a guided walk of the campus boundary on 1 May, gives members of staff a chance to team up with their colleagues and work together to be more active throughout May.
