COGNITIVE MODELLING

Seminar Week 2: Summer Term 2002

Steve Torrance and Benedict du Boulay
\fbox{\box0}

There are two tasks for the first seminar on the Modelling Enterprise.

  1. Read Explanation and Simulation in Cognitive Science, Chapter 2 of [G$^+$98]. You will be expected to read this chapter carefully and will be asked to explain parts of it.
  2. You must also find one other chapter/paper (e.g. that you studied in the Term 1 course Approaches to Cognitive Science) on some aspect of modelling and be prepared to describe it to the seminar class. In particular think about where it fits in the framework offered in [G$^+$98].
